Saint-Tropez is a town located on the French Riviera, dedicated to ‘Art, Culture and Tradition’, it is known to be popular amongst the rich and famous.
A century ago it was the main commercial port of France, seeing through various associated trades, including fishing, cork, wine, and wood.
Its role as a commercial port declined, and it is now primarily a tourist spots attracting wealthy visitors from all over the globe. Each year, in early October, a regatta is held in the Bay of Saint-Tropez. This is a draw for many yachts on an international level, and many tourists come to the location for this event or as a stopover on their trip to Cannes or Nice.
Numerous visitors join the traditional provençal celebrations called ‘Les Bravades’ which St Tropez has been holding for over 400 years. It is a religious remembrance event perpetuated on May the 16th 17th and 18th. They are the token of the local remembrance of their glorious past and deep attachment to their Patron Saint.
